London’s Most Instagrammable Beer Gardens
Posted on 04 June 2019

Fed up of seeing everyone else living their best life during summer? Why don’t you create a group chat and make sure the next motive involves a beer garden! Food and drinks in the sun is always a good day out. Be the first to upload all the boomerangs with our handy list below. I’ve chosen a few of my favourites and made sure to mention the most Instagrammable day drinking spots.
I mean, if you didn’t Instagram it, did it even happen?
The Albion, Islington
A pub doesn’t get much more picturesque than this! The purple pastel floral aesthetic makes the perfect backdrop to a summer snap. Add a Pornstar Martini or Long Island Iced Tea with a summer’s sunset, and you’ve got yourself a perfect date night location.

TOP TIP: for those really dedicated to the gram, I would suggest styling out some white pieces to really compliment the background!
The Ship, Wandsworth
A landmark pub that has been around since 1786. This iconic pub sits on the banks of the River Thames. This spot has live music on Sundays and Tuesdays, with a pub quiz running every Wednesday. They’ve gone to town with their outdoor seating area to ensure there’s space for the whole squad. For those of you who will be carrying the party on into the evening, they’ve got you covered with heated booths. If you don’t manage to grab one, chuck on a lightweight jacket or jumper.

The Prince London, Hammersmith
Bottomless brunch anyone? For those of you looking for more of a turn-up vibe there’s even a resident DJ! In this venue you’re surrounded by neon signs, flower walls and lampshades. If those aesthetics aren’t enough for you… The Prince London also offers a classic British phone box, perfect for a cheeky photo opp. There’s a mixture of smaller round tables mixed and long benches, catering to all sized groups.
The struggle is real when searching for a table in a busy beer garden. Good thing The Prince London has your back and lets you reserve seats. Be everyone’s fave friend by saving them a spot.

The Woodman, Highgate
Not only does The Woodman have the biggest pub garden in Highgate, it’s also one of the only places to offer table service. Sack off waiting by the bar when it’s your turn to get the drinks in. No queues = no problems. Order at your table so you don’t miss out on any of the Love Island banter. With an outdoor area seating up to 250 people, it’s a good-sized venue. Fitted with heating as well as a sheltered area, they’ve got you covered if the Great British weather decides to turn up.
It’s worth noting though that this pub is for 21+.
The Magic Garden, Battersea
This location made me just want to get ready for a festival. The Magic Garden brings fairy lights, comfy sofas and a giant tepee to relax in...major festival vibes! Right by Battersea Park, this quirky pub provides evening entertainment. No worries if you encounter a summer downpour, they’ve got a large covered space to keep your garms dry! This pub garden is ideal if you’re looking for something a bit out there.

The Crabtree, Hammersmith
Giving you incredible views over the river, the Crabtree is one of the most iconic pubs in the area. Between Putney and Hammersmith bridge, this beer garden is in a quiet setting, ideal if you’re looking for more of a chilled vibe. It also hosts an award-winning comedy club, a huge pub quiz and live music – it’s got something for every friendship group.
The Avalon, Clapham
Trying to find the perfect beer garden on a sunny day that’s not overcrowded can be impossible. However, this location has 3! The Avalon’s garden is split into separate areas to make sure you find the perfect spot for a day sesh with friends:
- The lounge is perfect for bigger parties, full of giant cushions to help you relax and enjoy the rays.
- Wooden booths can be found in the centre of the garden which are available to reserve for you and the squad.
- The alfresco bar is perfect for a more intimate catch up!
