Off to Uni over the next few weeks? Whether you’re starting off as a fresher in your first year or going back for another year of fun, we bet you’re absolutely buzzing!

Our Guide to packing for Uni

With only a couple of weeks until Uni starts, you’re probably in the midst of your Uni shop. Whether you’ve packed too much, haven’t packed enough or possibly haven’t started packing yet at all, we thought we’d give you a hand to get you prepped for the year ahead.

TOP TIP: Before you begin the big pack make sure you check out your Uni’s website to see what items they already provide for you if you’re staying in halls.

Your crib

Make your Uni bedroom your own with décor. Give your room a personal touch with posters and photos of mates back home, and make it the perfect place to cure your hangover with comfy pillows and fairy lights.

Remember your laptop, headphones, stationery and books for studying. Be sure to hit the lib with a stylish backpack to carry all your books and laptop.

 You might also want a good set of speakers for pre-drinks and most importantly, don’t forget your ID!

The kitchen

Plates, bowls, cutlery, mugs, chopping boards, saucepans, frying pans, baking trays and other utensils are obvious essentials. Go for kitchen utensils in a bright colour or bold pattern to make sure your stuff stands out from the masses of plates that are sure to pile up in the kitchen sink.

Remember to also bring tea towels, tin foil and a couple of Tupperware for meal prep! You’ll also be needing oven gloves and a pizza cutter to aid your 3 am feast after a night out.

Tea bags and coffees are v important too to make sure you stay awake through the dreaded 9 am lectures.

The bathroom

Get packing your towel, toothbrush and toiletries. Another essential is flip flops or sliders, and if you’re in accommodation with a shared bathroom you’re defo gonna thank us for this one…

Remember to pack medication too to make sure you’re prepped when freshers flu hits!

TOP TIP: Pack light!! You’re not moving forever so prioritise the absolute essentials and be sure to pack the freshest looks from your wardrobe.

Get prepped for the winter months with a fashionable jacket or coat, like a street style puffer jacket. Simple yet stylish, this is sure to keep you warm whilst looking bang on trend.

Polo shirt

Whether you’re hitting the pub with the lads, or it’s time for date night, a polo shirt is a perf way to add a smart edge to a casual jeans and trainers look. This is defo a uni essential.
