In 2011, two friends on a summer break from University didn't just want to spend their time taking it easy and relaxing in the sunshine. With some understanding of retail and business from previous jobs and the spark of an idea, the two mates set about creating Hype bags and clothing. Both friends had an interest in independent clothing labels and a fascination with creating their own brand and so after several late nights the two friends began the Hype journey.
Initially utilising the power of various social media networks and good old fashioned word of mouth, news of the new Hype backpack & clothing brand began to spread. Hype launched their first set of t-shirt designs with a small initial financial investment from both friends. The pair were also helped by entering a competition at the last minute. The prize was getting 100 t-shirts printed free of charge and their luck was in.

The first Hype t-shirt design was a lighter inscribed with the statement: Get Your Own F*cking Lighter which proved incredibly popular and was supported by their growing number of fans from their social media activities. Hype announced that their first delivery of Hype t-shirts would go live at 8pm on a given day and by midnight the guys had sold out. The Hype brand was up and running and were now on a roll. Over the following months the two guys broadened their range, moved into new premises and drafted in friends to help them with their ever increasing workloads. They also took the chance to exhibit at various music festivals around the UK and increase their ever growing fan base.
Over the last year the Just Hype has become well know for their bold prints, extravagant patterns and eye-catching designs featured on their every ever expanding range of backpacks, bags, t-shirts & sweatshirts. Many of their garments are also adorned with the now instantly recognisable Hype logo text. Some great examples of these are the Hype Script t-shirt and Hype Script hoodie, both of which are bestsellers. Another extremely popular item is the Hype Script Beanie Hat which is available in a variety of colours to suit all tastes.
In 2013, Hype clothing continues to push the boundaries and are becoming a force to be reckoned with in the urban, streetwear clothing scene.
