As the name suggests, Veganuary runs throughout January and is the chance for people to try out a vegan diet, meaning they don’t eat anything containing or made by animals.

Why go vegan?
Whether you’re looking to try the vegan diet full time or if you’re just testing the waters for Veganuary this year, there are sooo many reasons why it’s a good idea to go vegan. Let’s look at the facts…
Choosing plant-based is the best way to reduce your environmental footprint, with the carbon footprint of a vegan diet 60% smaller than a meat-based one. The production of animal products places a huge burden on the environment and is a big cause of deforestation, land and water use and species extinction.
A plant-based diet can also be better for you. According to research, vegans are less likely to develop heart disease, cancer, diabetes and high blood pressure, while diets high in animal products are linked to a number of health problems.
Vegan food is also delicious! With the vegan food trend on the rise, there’s a huge number of vegan alternatives to choose from and vegan restaurants everywhere.
